4. Purposes and legal bases of the processing
We collect your personal data for the organization of the conference and fulfill our agreements. An essential purpose of our conferences is to promote communication between participants. Your data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 letter b) GDPR and Art 6 para 1 letter f) GDPR.
We collect your data (photos, videos) on the basis of Art. 6 para 1 letter a) for the reporting about the conference in detail on social media platforms, websites and (print) media.
We are thus pursuing purpose of promoting the protecton of the night sky.
5. Duration of storage of personal data
After collection, your personal data will be stored up to 4 weeks after the symposium. After this time, we will delete your personal date. Photos are excluded from this.
5. Photos
During the event, photos and videos will be taken and used for public relations work by the Sternenpark Rhön e.V., the Biosphere Reserve Rhön, the Vereinigung der Sternfreunde e.V., the district of Fulda, the city of Fulda and the Dark Sky Association.
These data are to be used by the organizations and authorities mentioned on their websites, for (print) publications and social media (Facebook, etc.). With the data (photos, videos) the protection of the night should be promoted. For this purpose, the data will also be stored indefinitely beyond the event. This consent can be revoked at any time for the future. When published on the Internet, the personal data can be accessed and stored at any time and indefinitely worldwide. The data can thus also be found via search engines, changed or used for other purposes. Likewise, the organizer can no longer enforce revoked declarations of consent.
6. Rights of data subjects
According to the basic EU data protection regulation, you have the following rights:
If your personal data are processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about your person (Art. 15 DSGVO).
Should incorrect personal data be processed, you have the right to correction (Art. 16 DSGVO).
If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of the processing and lodge an objection against the processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 DSGVO).
If you make use of the rights mentioned above, the Beilstein-Institut will check whether the legal requirements for this have been met. If you do not enter the required data, participation in the conference cannot take place.

7. Right of withdrawal with consent
If you have consented to the processing by the Sternenpark Rhön e.V. explicit, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. The legality of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation is not affected by this.
